Title of presentation: The Library and Open Science at Stellenbosch University: a journey of impact.

The Library’s OA journey began in 2008 with the establishment of the institutional repository, SUNScholar, and the implementation of an electronic submission system for theses and dissertations. Since then, the concept of Open Science has become defined and recognised.

The Library has since been eager to embrace all aspects of Open Science and has recently started investigating our role in Digital Humanities and strengthening our Research Data initiatives. This presentation will share the Library’s Open Science journey and illustrate the impact of our approach on our instruction’s research output.
